ESF Community Grants Programme
ESF Community Learning and Skills Grants 2011 - 2013
The East Midlands ESF Community Learning and Skills Grants programme (2nd round) launched on Monday 3
October 2011, details about how to apply, the application form and guidance are available from your local ESF
Community Learning and Skills Grants promotional team.
The ESF Community Learning and Skills Grants programme is designed to assist small not-for-profit groups
based in and run by people from the community they support.
The aim of providing small grants is to give community groups an opportunity to access funding, through a
simplified process, to undertake activity that helps engage and progress individuals that are considered “hard
to reach”. Projects should provide an opportunity for people to engage with learning, to develop their
confidence and skills and be more able to take advantage of further opportunities that help them progress
towards the labour market.
For this second application round there is a total of £96,000 funding available across the Region. Groups can
apply for up to £10,000, with an expected average grant being £5,760. Funding is targeted on the areas
detailed below:
Lincolnshire
Lincoln City – Moorland, Glebe, Abbey, Birchwood and Castle wards
West Lindsey – Gainsborough
East Lindsey – Skegness, Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Chapel St. Leonards
Boston – Fenside ward
Advice on project eligibility, help with application development and the submission of the application is
available on a one-to-one basis. Potential applicants are advised to contact us well before the application
deadline (Monday 14 November 2011) so maximum support can be provided.
